Dr. Thomas Johnson has 20 plus years of experience in health physics. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences at Colorado State University.

His research efforts are on decontamination, acute effects of ionizing radiation, and laser safety standards. Prior to attaining his current position, he was an Assistant Professor and Post Doctoral Fellow in the School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University.

These classes examine theory and application of radiation detection instrumentation and statistics associated with radiation detection. He has worked in consulting, electric generating plants, and hospitals. During his tour in the Navy he was a nuclear power plant operator on a fast attack submarine.

He recently retired from his USAF reserve position on the Air Force Radiation Assessment Team. He is co-author with Herman Cember of the textbooks “Introduction to Health Physics” and “The Health Physics Solutions Manual” and has published over 50 scientific articles, abstracts, books chapters and proceedings on ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. Additionally, he is a Certified Health Physicist, and Registered Radiation Protection Technologist.

Milena J. Henzlova, MD, PhD

Professor of Medicine & Director of Nuclear Cardiology, The Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York

Dr. Henzlova is certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology. She is an author or co-author of over 75 peer-reviewed papers, several book chapters and more than 100 abstracts.

She has been a principal investigator or co-investigator of numerous clinical trials and is co-author of “Nuclear Cardiology Guidelines” published in the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology in 2006.

Jasper W. Watkins III, MS, C.Ph, NP, NCNP

For the past 16 years Mr. Watkins has been a Clinical Instructor, Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry for The Goldebrain Group; Clinical Instructor, Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry, Health & Radiological Seminars Inc. (HRSI); Program Director, Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

Mr. Watkins has over 25 years of experience as a nuclear pharmacist and has been an active teacher of radiopharmacy including:
  • Assistant Professor, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Florida A&M University;
  • Clinical Guest Lecturer,  Pharmaceutical Forum’s at Florida A&M University;
  • College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Services, Tallahassee, FL.

Pat Zanzonico, PhD

A board-certified and licensed (New York State) Nuclear Medicine Physicist, Dr. Zanzonico brings years of active experience as a practicing physicist, researcher, and lecturer. In addition to his position as a Member (Full Professor) and Attending Physicist at MSKCC. He holds a Contributing Faculty position at the Gerstner Graduate School, and Chairman of MSKCC’s Committee on Radiation.

He is also a member of the following organizations:

  • Radioactive Drug Research Committees (RDRCs) at MSKCC
  • New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell Medical Center
  • Editorial Board of the Journal of Nuclear Medicine
  • National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurement (NCRP)
  • Medical Internal Radionuclide Dosimetry (MIRD) Committee of the Society of Nuclear Medicine.
Dr. Zanzonico is also Associate Editor of the British Journal of Radiology and the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine. Furthermore, he serves as Consultant to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and is a Fellow and the current Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Section of the New York Academy of Medicine.

Dr. Zanzonico has extensive experience as a lecturer and presenter. Among his many lectures, he counts honorary named lectureship at the Health Physics Society and the Nuclear Medicine 2008 Symposium at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In total, Dr. Zanzonico has produced over 100 peer-reviewed publications and over 70 invited presentations.

Steven G. Marsh, MS, DABMP

Mr. Steven G. Marsh has over 30 years of experience in the fields of radiology, nuclear medicine, and health physics. After obtaining his B.S. in Radiological Health Physics, he began his work as a Health Physicist, before progressing into a role as a Medical Physicist. Mr. Marsh continued to advance his education by earning an M.S. in Radiological Science-Diagnostic Radiology from the Medical College of Ohio in 1995.

After completing his M.S., he served as a Medical Health Physicist for Ohio State University for 17 years, before joining his current position in the Baystate Health System in 2012. Furthermore, since completing his M.S., he has continuously worked as a Consultant Health Physicist for HMPR Associates, LLC.

In addition to his vast experience in the field, Mr. Marsh holds a number of professional certifications and credentials. He is currently a member of the American Board of Medical Physics in Medical Health Physics, is a Certified Radiation Expert in Ohio, and is a Qualified Radiation Physicist in Indiana.

In these functions his focuses include diagnostic radiology, mammography, shielding design, and x-ray machine inspection.
